Editorial Standards & Corrections
The Atlanta Floor Journal is published by Final Floors LLC, so readers should always know when they are reading education from an operating flooring contractor. Our goal is not to disguise that relationship. It is to make the sourcing, commercial connection and limits of each article clear enough that the information can be evaluated on its merits.
Tradeoffs, not fake winners
Comparisons explain where each material or method fits. We avoid declaring one universal 'best' product when the answer depends on substrate, room, use and installation system.
Update when facts change
Product specifications, standards, review counts, warranties and program details can change. Evergreen URLs stay stable while the article body is corrected or updated.
Separate roles clearly
Flooring guidance does not become insurance, legal, mitigation, mold-remediation or structural-engineering advice. We identify when another qualified professional owns the decision.
Label imagery honestly
First-party project photos are identified as project evidence. Stock or illustrative imagery is not captioned as a Final Floors job.
AI assists; humans own the byline
AI may help organize research, surface topic gaps or accelerate drafting. It is not listed as an author, and generated language is subject to factual and claim review before publication.
Research & sourcing
What counts as a strong source here
Product-specific facts: the exact manufacturer's current technical data, installation instructions, warranty and care documents outrank generalized rules of thumb.
Installation practices: relevant standards organizations and current product-system requirements are used together. A generic industry guideline does not override the selected product's published instructions.
Local facts: neighborhood, building and project claims should be grounded in identifiable first-party work, public records or reputable local sources rather than invented city-specific filler.
Pricing: when pricing is discussed, we distinguish illustrative planning context from a project-specific estimate. Site conditions, demolition, prep, stairs, access, material and installation method can change the total substantially.
Reviews and reputation: Google-specific counts stay labeled as Google. Cross-platform totals stay labeled as aggregated reputation counts. We do not merge them into one misleading number.
Corrections & updates
We correct the page, not just the next post
When we update
- • A manufacturer changes installation or warranty requirements.
- • A cited standard or government page materially changes.
- • A review count, accreditation status or other volatile trust fact changes.
- • We identify wording that overstates a field observation or presents a planning range as a guarantee.
What stays stable
- • Useful article URLs remain stable whenever possible.
- • Major revisions should preserve the original topic rather than silently changing a page into unrelated search intent.
- • Retired or consolidated material should route readers to the closest useful current resource instead of creating dead-end clutter.

The publisher also sells flooring services
Final Floors LLC publishes this Journal and also provides flooring services. Articles can link to relevant FinalFloors.com service pages because that relationship is useful to readers who want an estimate. Those links do not change the editorial rule: technical claims should still be supportable, comparisons should still disclose tradeoffs, and brand inclusion should not be presented as certification, dealership, endorsement or current availability unless independently verified.
